The Michel Fortin Blog: Feel Like Giving Up? Go Out On a Limb… Or None

  • David Scott Lynn · 1 year ago
WOW -- What A Spirit. No, Nick does not Have Spirit, He IS Spirit, if you know what I mean. And you were right, Michel, about the dry eyes. ... Not Dry.

Thanks for Sharing this video, and Nick Himself. Although I have never given up, this is like, HEY, all this stuff that gets in the way and seems pretty stressful is pretty darn trivial, at most. I bet hanging out with Nick for a while can make just about anything seem Possible.

Take Care, and Thanks Again for posting this. ..
I'm now off to Nick's sites.

Nick Vujicic story is an inspiring one. See the way he speak and conquer his daily activities without his limbs. I have much respect for him and I hope that people can be inspired by his story.

I have also written an article on him at http://www.healthmoneysuccess.com/313/do-you-gi...

Nick I am deeply touched. You are the light in the darkness, for all of us, that struggle in their life. I passed this information with your videos to my church, the hourofpower, Dr. Schuller, and I hope that he will invite you as the most living sample for a possibilitythinker.

God loves you and so do I.

    Thank you for your message.

    Kind Regards
    Michael from Germany

    Hello Michel,

We all seem to have our moments of doubt and despair, but
when we see nuggets of inspiration like Nick, our petty
    issues and problems become non-existent.

Thanks for the motivational video Michel.

    Sincerely,
    Steve D.

    Michel,

I was very sorry to find out today that you have shut down the copywriter's board, although maybe temporarily. Although I have to agree with your reasoning, and even though I myself have been victim to some attacks that you spoke of, I hope that this "cooling down" period is very very temporary. That forum had become part of my daily experiences that I found to be very helpful as well as an outlet to express myself openly to others. I also have to admit that I probably have been a bit too abrasive at times and for that you have my apologies. Yes, there have been unwarranted attacks, and probably some toward you and your moderators that were not made public, but the value of having such a forum, in my opinion, far outweighs those downfalls. I hope this cooling off period is short and we can get back on track to have an honest, and open forum with a bit more civility. Thanks again for even hosting such a place to hang.

Thanks, that was really inspiring. Even though I've grown some kind of skin over the years. I had a hard time watching this without falling a part.

So then I hope you find the currage to open the board soon again. Even though it's messy and cruel at times..

I think some of the sharpest minds pass by there from time
    to time.

I sincerely feel that getting rid of the off-topic section could do you much good & hope that you will continue the board.

Still I think you have the right to put the board on hold. And I want you to take the time to think over this. And make YOUR decision.

    That's all.

    Peace.

P.S. Beautiful crafted letter by the way. :)

    Hi Michel,

I wanted to stop by and say thanks for all you do for our community. I understand your decision to close the board. No one could fault you for taking a much deserved break. It's a smart move to let everyone breath new air for a bit, and be reminded that the world is much bigger than it seems sometimes.

Hopefully though, I'll be just one of many thousands of voices who call out for you to re-consider. There's a legion of faithful members and lurkers who either don't notice the in-fighting and drama, or have simply learned the places to avoid when we don't want to bother with it.

Regardless of your decision, I'm toasting you today to celebrate the fact that you operated the copywriter's board with the ultimate class and, ahem... fortitude. I learned so much there, not just about this craft, but how to conduct my business, and (eventually) act like a grown-up in public.

Like all the members - past (and hopefully, future), I'm in your debt.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Michel,
You have a "virtuous woman" for a wife. I think we all need stuff like this once in a while.

A lot of these blogs don't even have anything funny on their sites. And when it comes to inspirational/moltivational elements, what they have is whatever will moltivate you to spend more and more.

You can't really get to know them virtually because all they talk about is how to make money and that it!

Just like robots that is programmed to make only one thing MONEY!

You and your lovely wife tend to focus not only on money issues but also things that more holistic, than making money.

    Good stuff!

**I am glad I did not make any typo this time around.

    Hi Michel,

Thanks for sharing that video. I have had the privilege of hearing Nick speak live when he was invited to my church all the way down in Singapore.

Everytime I see a picture of him, I remind myself that "life's not so bad" and that things could be a lot worse off. He reminds me to keep looking at the good side of live and move on in spite of my human disabilities - be it mind or body.

    Hey Michel,

    Thanks, that was really inspirational.

We all think that we've got BIG problems.

But this video shows our problems are nothing compared to what some other people are facing.

    Thanks,
    Dean Dhuli.

When the world says, "Give up,"
Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."
That is the perfect example of that quote

    Hi Michel,

All I can say to this is: "Wow". This was an incredibly powerful shot in the arm.

Everytime someone on my job tells me how bad they have it, I always say... it can always be worse.

This video packs triumph, determination, strength and compassion into 4minutes. Awesome.

    Thanks for the encouragement,

    Michel,

Thank you for sharing this with us.

One of my niches is real-estate investment, and I know that a lot of people there are feeling down at present. I will now send a link to this to my list, because I am sure that it will make them realise that with the right attitude and mindset there is hope.

    What a guy Nick is!

Mike, this was unbelievable. I have watched Titanic and did keep a dry eye. But I failed the challenge now. I had goosebumps almost all the time and I am sending this to other people.

I already know about the things he said,
but he made me feel it and changed my negative thoughts today.

I also know I will forget it, maybe as soon as next month, but I am grateful for today.

I recently decided I wanted to start my own internet company. I have had enough of working for somebody else. I have recently set up a blog and is getting handfuls of visitors a day. There are times when I have bad days and i wonder if this was the best choice. But watching a video like this really puts it into perspective. It should not matter what happens to you in lfe you need to continue to battle and be optomistic.

Life is what you make it.
  • Kevin Walsh · 11 months ago
Wow. I was having one of those I'm-feeling-sorry-for-myself nothing-is-right-with-the-world kind of days until I saw this. But he snapped me right out of it.

And no, I didn't manage to keep the tears back. In fact, I didn't even try to.

    Truly inspiring.

Very touching video Michel. Nick is a lighthouse for many of us. He personifies strength, perseverance and a lot of faith. He reminds us of things we often forget, "faith can move mountains". If we believe we can do something, then we can. It is only when we stop trying that failure begins...we are all borne to succeed.

Awesome post. More power to you.
